CSS3 web programming language for the design of our pages

WE BEGIN OUR BLOG WITH THIS SHORT INTRODUTION OF CSS3 WHICH WE NEED TO DESIGN OUR SITE.

CSS3:  today we constantly hear of CSS inside our html or dynamic sites. Regardless of which CMS (Content management system) you intend to use, whether we speak about the most used WordPress, Drupal, Prestashop or others.

CSS3 is the new version of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) more advanced and with which we can formulate the consumer aspect of all the graphic part of our site.

Thanks to all this web programming language we do not any more need images to create keys, coloured boxes, lines and texts.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Let’s start at the beginning: we can use or the internal part of a page html or the external of a file css which connects through a link (e.g.:< link rel=”stylesheet” type=”text/css” href=”stile.css”>) to insert into the header of our page.

If you directly want to add styles css to your page you always have to add classes in the header of the page. In a css file infinite classes can be created and they in turn can create the versions for all mobile apparatus! Useful eh?

LET’S TRY TO UNDERSTAND HOW THESE CLASSES OPERATE

To write a css isn’t sufficient to format our page, it is necessary to note every element present associated to the latter classes css that we will then define.

For example if we want to format a text with a link and show our guests as a button we should simply enclose our link in the class CSS

.formatta-testo {

background: #fc0;
text-align: center;
border-radius: 3px;

}

.formatta-testo a {

color:#000000;
padding: 10px 3px;
text-align: center;
text-decoration: none;
border-radius: 3px;
text-trasform: uppercase;

}

With these two classes our link will appear with a yellow background and rounded edges, lower case black text, internal spacing and the link won’t be underlined.

Useful, eh?
